Realme Android TV gets Google certification, might launch next month

Realme is soon going to launch its first Android TV in the Indian market. The company had informed this at the time of Realme X50 Pro 5G smartphone launching at the beginning of the year. The company has announced the launch of its Android-based smart TV in the second quarter of the year. According to this, it can be launched in three screen sizes.

Recently, Realme Android TV has been spotted on Google certification site with the codename “Ikebukuro”. This information is tweeted by the Android TV Guide, in a tweet, they have shared two pictures, the first picture showing a codename “Ikebukuro” which refers to a code which is already used by many brands for their Android TVs and the second picture is showing a list of different TVs from different companies.

Realme TV could be launched in three different screen sizes, 55 inch, 43 inch, and 32 inches. Recently, its 32-inch and 43-inch screen sizes of the base models were spotted on the Bluetooth SIG certification site. It has also received the Indian Standard (BIS) certification in the first week of April.

Realme premium 55-inch screen size TV can be launched with features similar to OnePlus TV Q1. However, the features of this smart TV have not been revealed in any leaks yet. Due to Android TV, users will be able to access their favorite OTT platforms Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Hotstar, etc.

The company can launch both basic models of Realme TV in the same budget range as Mi TV. Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the company has not launched its budget smartphone Narzo 10 series to be launched in March. It was to be re-launched on April 21, but the company has reshuffled its launch date after ordering a sale of necessities on e-commerce sites in a lock-down rebate. It can now be launched after 3 May. With this budget smartphone series, the company can also introduce its Smart TV.
