On Thursday, BMW announced the introduction of its new BMW X3 SUV in India. The X3 xDrive30i SportX Plus variant is priced at 59.90 lakh (ex-showroom), while the X3 xDrive30i M Sport is priced at 65.90 lakh (ex-showroom) (ex-showroom).

The new BMW X3 will be produced locally in India in two petrol types and will be available from today at all registered BMW dealerships. The diesel version of the new X3 is expected to arrive later.

The new X3 is powered by a two-litre four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 185 kW / 252 HP and 350 Nm of maximum torque between 1,450 and 4,800 rpm.

This engine allows the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometres per hour in just 6.6 seconds and reach a top speed of 235 kilometres per hour. The engine is connected to a Steptronic sport transmission with eight speeds.

Adaptive Suspension with individual electronically adjustable dampers is available on the BMW X3. Furthermore, it comes standard with steering wheel paddle shifters, cruise control with braking function, and automatic differential brakes (ADB) with electronic differential locks. It also has the BMW Performance Control system, which improves the vehicle’s stability by applying targeted brakes to the wheels.

Six airbags, expert Assistance, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) with Cornering Brake Control (CBC), electric parking brake with auto hold, side-impact protection, electronic vehicle immobiliser and crash sensor, ISOFIX child seat mounting, and an integrated emergency spare wheel under the load floor are all included in the car’s safety features.
