Whatsapp has launched a new feature for editing a message for its users. Now a user can edit messages without deleting them. Users can make changes to their text within 15 minutes after sending the message. Earlier users had to delete the message or send a separate message for correction.

Whatsapp edit message feature will be useful as now users don’t have to delete the message, if anything wrong has been sent, it can now easily be edited.

How to Edit the Whatsapp Message

To modify the text

  • First tap and long hold on editing the message
  • Then select the option edit from the menu.
  • The updated message will be marked as edited.

Earlier this new Whatsapp feature was reportedly tested on the beta version of Android,  ios app and Web Interface. Now the feature has been rolled on to global users.

Mark Zuckerberg also announced the new WhatsApp feature on a Facebook post,  that now it is easier for users to edit or modify a message without deleting it.

The meta-owned company confirmed that it started rolling out to users globally. It won’t be immediately available for all. It will take some days to reach everyone because it has billions of users.

But keep in mind if you don’t edit within 15 Minutes you have to delete the message and send it again.
