Motorola has launched the Motorola Edge 40 smartphone in India featuring a MediaTek Dimensity 8020 SoC, a 6.55-inch FullHD+ OLED screen with a 144Hz refresh rate and a dual-camera setup on the back.

The device is available in Eclipse Black, Lunar Blue, and Nebula Green colors in a single 8GB/256GB configuration. It is priced at INR 29,999. Sale will begin on May 30 through Flipkart and Motorola’s official Indian website.    

Motorola Edge 40 smartphone specifications-

The Motorola Edge 40 runs Android 13 out of the box and has a fingerprint reader underneath its display.  The phone is equipped with a 4,400 mAh battery that supports 68W fast charging and is the first in its segment to support 15W wireless charging. The device is IP68 rated for water and dust resistance making it the slimmest 5G smartphone in India with this rating.  

The Motorola Edge 40 also offers dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support, but it does not have a 3.5mm audio jack. It is the first phone in its segment to support eSIM.

The rear camera setup consists of a 50 MP primary camera and a 13 MP ultra-wide-angle lens that also functions as a macro camera. The front-facing selfie camera is 32 MP and supports face unlock.
