Veteran actor Vikram Gokhale passed away due to multiple organ failure

On Saturday, 26 November 2022, actor Vikram Gokhale passed away due to multiple organ failures. He suddenly started feeling uneasiness in his body and many parts of his body stopped working. His health did not go well for the last few days and was admitted to Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital in Pune. Vikram Gokhale was 77 years old at the time of his death.

As soon as his death was reported by the media, many fans and celebs paid tribute to Vikram Gokhale on Twitter. Along with this, many people paid tribute to him and shared the scene of his movie Natsamrat which was released in 2016. In the movie, Vikram portrayed an artist on his deathbed giving his last performance.

Vikram Gokhale has played every kind of role during his five decades in career life – be it a comedy film, a drama, or one dealing with social issues. He has played all kinds of characters on screen befitting his age – a doctor, a father, a businessman, a police officer, and a villain.

Amitabh Bachchan shared the memory of his friend Vikram Gokhale on his blog, saying ‘the days are full of sadness as they all ‘played their part and left the stage empty.  Vikram Gokhale worked with Amitabh Bachchan in the movie Agneepath which was released in the year 1990 and Khuda Gawah which was released in the year 1992. In 2020, Amitabh Bachchan played in the Marathi film AB Ani CD starring Vikram Gokhale.

Vikram Gokhale was a noted actor in the Marathi theater and cinema. His performance in the Marathi film Ishti, released in 2010, earned him the National Award for Best Actor. He made his directorial debut with the Marathi film Aaghat. He was last seen in the movie Nikamma alongside Shilpa Shetty and Abhimanyu Dassani and the film was released in June this year.

Akshay Kumar paid tribute to Vikram Gokhale on his Instagram by writing this Very sad to know of the demise of Vikram Gokhale Ji. Worked with him in films like Bhool Bhulaiyaa, and Mission Mangal, and had so much to learn from him. Om Shanti
