One doodle is depicting the winter solstice and another summer solstice. From June 21, the summer season starts in the northern hemisphere and winter season in the southern hemisphere. June 21 is also known as summer solstice as the northern hemisphere faces the maximum daylight on this day and southern hemisphere fewer.

On the day of the summer solstice, the sun reaches its highest point north of the celestial equator in the sky and provides sunlight for a longer period on this day. The summer solstice occurs twice in a year, one in June in the northern hemisphere and one in December in the southern hemisphere called December solstice. The summer season 2020 has another great significance as there is an annual solar eclipse occurring in some parts of the world.  This solar eclipse will be the first eclipse of the year 2020. The solar eclipse will be partial in most of the regions of India.
