Sidharth Malhotra’s new movie Shershaah released on August 12 has become Amazon Prime’s most-watched movie in India. Shershaah film stars Sidharth Malhotra as Param Vir Chakra awardee, Captain Vikram Batra.

Sidharth took to Twitter to share the update with his fans. “Overwhelmed with the love and appreciation that we are receiving for #Shershaah. Thank you, everyone, for making it the most-watched film on @primevideoin #FeelingBlessed #YehDilMaangeMore,” he wrote.

 Karan Johar, the producer of the movie, wrote, “We are the #1 watched film on Amazon Prime Video! Grateful, overwhelmed & exhilarated by the LOVE & RESPECT that has poured in for #Shershaah. Been an honour to showcase a legacy that will go down in history, once again!”

Shershaah is directed by Vishnu Varadhan, also features Shiv Panditt, Pranay Pachauri, Raj Arjun, Himanshu Ashok Malhotra, Anil Charanjeett, Nikitin Dheer, Sahil Vaid, Shataf Figar, and Pawan Chopra in pivotal roles.

Shershaah is jointly produced by Dharma Productions and Kaash Entertainment. It was premiered on Amazon Prime on August 12, 2021, ahead of the Independence Day weekend.
