Rohit Sharma raised helping hand for corona victims

After Virat Kohli, ODI’s vice-captain Rohit Sharma has also raised a helping hand for the Coronavirus victims. Rohit has decided to donate Rs 80 lakh. He tweeted and said- We want to see the country standing on its feet and it is our responsibility. I decided to help from my side. I will give 45 lakh rupees to the PM-Cares fund and 25 lakh rupees to the CM Relief Fund. I will also donate 5 lakh rupees for Feeding India and 5 lakh rupees for Welfare of Stray Dogs. Women players have also become helpful in this fight.

Sania Mirza announced Rs. 1.25 crore, while Indian women’s ODI team captain Mithali Raj announced Rs. 10 lakh. Apart from these, cricketers Poonam Yadav and Deepti Sharma will also support the government in the battle with Corona.

Sania said on the tweet – Last week, we made a small effort to deliver food to thousands of families and raised Rs 1.25 crore with the help of people. With this, we will be able to help about 1 lakh people. This effort will continue even further.

All the employees of Sports Authority of India (SAI) have also donated their 3 days salary to PM Care Fund. This amount is around 76 lakh rupees. Sports Minister Kiran Rijiju praised Sai’s move. He tweeted- I am happy to inform that Group A employees of Sports Authority of India donated their 3 days salary, Group B 2 days and all other employees donated 1-day salary to PM Care Fund. The total amount is around 76 lakh rupees. Earlier, Rijiju had deposited one crore rupees from his MP fund.
