Google Nest Hub 2nd Gen features

The second-generation Google Nest Hub is constructed using recycled materials. Its plastic mechanical parts contain 54 percent recycled post-consumer plastic. Its floating glass display with no visible housing plastic on the front improves the viewing experience. The new Nest Hub is designed to keep privacy in mind, with controls for how data is treated. Like the original Nest Hub, it does not include a camera, thus a user can feel comfortable putting it in any room. With a simple voice command, it turns on Guest Mode, so that Assistant activity won’t be saved to Google account and personal results won’t be shown.

It also offers multi-room control to dynamically group multiple cast-enabled Nest devices – such as speakers, Smart Displays, Chromecasts. Nest Hub will work with the new connectivity standard – Matter – being created by the Connectivity Standards Alliance, making it even simpler to control a connected home.

The new Nest Hub can fill any room with music by connecting with streaming audio services like YouTube Music, Spotify, Apple Music, Gaana and JioSavvn. It can also play shows from providers like Netflix, and YouTube Premium. With YouTube, ask Google to find how-to videos on just about anything, including recipes with step-by-step instructions on the screen.

Nest Hub helps keep the family coordinated and connected, from creating reminders and to-dos to using the broadcast feature across Nest speakers and display around the house, to making voice calls with Google Duo.
