Coronavirus Update: During an address to the nation PM extended lockdown till May 3

Today is the last day of the nationwide lockdown that came into force on 25 March. Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation for 25 minutes on Tuesday. He announced to increase the lockdown in the country by 3 May. He also said that some essential things will be allowed from April 20 only after analyzing the situation.  If the corona spreads in the area, then the permission will be withdrawn immediately. This was the fourth message to Modi’s country in the last 26 days.

‘7 things you need’ The Prime Minister said- “I am seeking your support to finish my talk.”

First Thing – Take special care of the elders in your home. Especially for those who have a chronic illness, you have to take extra care. They have to be protected very much from the corona.

Second Thing – Follow the Laxman Rekha of lockdown and social distancing completely. Essentially use homemade face covers or masks.

Third Thing – To increase your immunity, we should follow the instructions given by the Ministry of Ayush. Consume hot water-decoction continuously.

Fourth Thing – To prevent corona infection, definitely download the Arogya Setu Mobile App. Inspire others to download this app as well.

Fifth Thing – If possible, look after the poor family. Meet their food requirements.

Sixth Thing – Be sensitive to the people working in your industry. Do not remove them from the job.

Seventh Thing – We should respect our nurses, policemen, and doctors, make them proud. “

PM Modi said- “Need your support in these seven things.” This Saptapadi is the path to victory. Follow the rules of lockdown with full devotion by 3 May. Stay where you are. Rashtriya Jagriyam itself. I end my talk with this wish. Wish you and your family good health. Thanks a lot.”

In the meeting with CM, Modi also gave slogan “Jaan Bhi, Jahan Bhi”

Eight states and one union territory have already announced to extend the lockdown by April 30. This includes Maharashtra, West Bengal, Punjab, Odisha, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Telangana, and Tamil Nadu. At the same time, the Union Territory of Puducherry also announced to increase the lockdown. However, in a meeting with the Chief Ministers on 11 April, the Prime Minister gave the slogan ‘Jaan Bhi, Jahan Bhi’.

PM Modi’s Gave 3 messages so far on Corona

First: The Prime Minister addressed the country on 19 March and talked about imposing a public curfew on 22 March. Everything remained closed throughout the country on this day. In the evening, people thanked the corona fighters by clapping and playing a plate from inside the house.

Second: Modi addressed on 24 March and announced a nationwide lockdown from 25 March to 14 April to prevent corona infection. He had said that people should follow the Lakshman Rekha to stay in the houses to break the corona chain.

Third: Prime Minister Modi released a video message on 3 April. In this, people were appealed to show solidarity by lighting the lights of the lamps, candles and mobile lights for 9 minutes at 9 pm on 5 April.
