In selected areas, Zomato- owned Blinkit has launched a printed delivery service. The Zomato-owned rapid commerce startup is now delivering prints at doorsteps in a matter of minutes. According to reports, Blinkit charges Rs. 9 for black and white printouts and Rs. 19 for colour printouts. Each of these orders will also incur an Rs. 25 delivery charge.
The organisation stated that the supplied papers will be removed from the Blinkit server once printed. Users can upload the documents through the Blinkit app to get them printed. Zomato, a prominent provider of food delivery services, bought the online delivery platform formerly known as Grofers in July of this year for a sum of Rs. 4,447 crore.
Via a post on LinkedIn, Jitesh Goel, product manager at Blinkit announced the launch of this new service. ” We at Blinkit are giving printouts in minutes in a few areas now. Have never had a printer at home and getting it from cyber cafes or libraries or neighbours or offices has always been cumbersome especially when it’s needed at the point of approaching deadlines. This should be really useful, especially at the rates it is available. You just have to upload the file and we will deliver it to you in minutes. There’s absolutely no manual intervention in printing and we delete the uploaded file as soon as it is printed.
Do try it out if it’s available in your area as we keep launching it in more areas soon! Thanks to the entire team for coordinating well to build and launch it in no time.”
The online supermarket Grofers, which began operations in late 2013 and was valued at $1 billion (approximately Rs. 7588 crores), rebranded as Blinkit in December previous year. Zomato purchased the delivery service in July.
