Asia Cup 2023 Final: India became the Winner by defeating Sri Lanka by 10 wickets

The final match of Asia Cup 2023 was played between India and Sri Lanka on Sunday. In this match, the Indian team restricted Sri Lanka to 50 runs in 15.2 overs. After this, the match was won in 6.1 overs without losing any wickets.
The final of Asia Cup 2023 took place on Sunday (17 September), which was historic for the Indian team. Under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma, the Indian team bowled out Sri Lanka for 50 runs in 15.2 overs in the final match. After this, the Indian team won the match by 10 wickets in 6.1 overs.
In the history of the Asia Cup (T20, ODI), the Indian team has won the title a maximum 8 times.
With this win, the Indian team took its 23-year-old revenge on Sri Lanka when in the year 2000, Sri Lanka beat India in the Champion Trophy final match.
In that match, Sri Lanka had batted first and set a target of 300 runs. But the Indian team was all out for 54 runs in 26.3 overs and lost the match by 245 runs. Then that 54 runs became the smallest score in the final of any tournament in ODI cricket.
But in the Asia Cup Final 2023, the Indian team defeated Sri Lanka for 50 runs. In this way, the Indian team got that shameful record broken by Sri Lanka itself. Now the lowest score in the final of any tournament in One Day International cricket is 50 runs. In this way, the Indian team has paid its revenge against Sri Lanka with interest after 23 years.
Siraj single-handedly defeated Sri Lanka by taking 6 wickets
In the Asia Cup 2023 final played in Colombo, Sri Lankan captain Dasun Sanaka won the toss and decided to bat. Wicketkeeper-batsman Kusal Mendis scored a maximum 17 runs. While Dushan Hemantha scored 13 runs. Apart from these, no batsman could touch double figures.
For the Indian team, fast bowler Mohammad Siraj took 6 wickets for 21 runs in 7 overs. While Hardik Pandya took 3 wickets for 3 runs in 2.2 overs. While Jasprit Bumrah got 1 success.
India won by 10 wickets in the match that lasted two and a half hours.
In response to the target of 51 runs, Indian Batsmen Ishan Kishan and Shubman Gill took the lead. Ishaan and Gill remained unbeaten and defeated the team by 10 wickets. In the match, Gill remained unbeaten after scoring 27 runs and Ishaan remained unbeaten after scoring 23 runs. The Indian team won the match in just 6.1 overs. This match lasted only about two and a half hours.
