Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) canceled the entrance examination, Admission will be based on merit and online interview

Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) has canceled the entrance exam to be held for admission to postgraduate diploma courses. After this decision of the institute, admission in PG Diploma courses will now be given on the basis of merit at IIMC. It has been decided to give admission on the basis of the marks of the candidates in the qualifying exam after viewing the present coronavirus situation in the country.

The institute issued a notification in this regard that now candidates will be given admission on the basis of qualifying examination i.e. graduation as well as weightage of marks of intermediate and matriculation examinations. After this, online interviews will be conducted by the institute.

Classes will be online from new session

According to the press release issued by IIMC, from the new semester, classes for the first semester in all courses will be conducted in online mode. The schedule for online classes will be released later. At the same time, students will have to arrange for the necessary laptop or computer and internet for online classes, so that their academic work can be continued in the time of the epidemic.
