Universe Boss set to hang his boots in 50 Over Format

The mighty Windies Cricketer Christopher Henry Gayle often called Chris Gayle has decided to retire from One Day International Cricket after World Cup 2019 which will be held in England & Wales from 30 May. The Windies Board officialy confirmed this and further added that the double centurion made the announcement just ahead of the 1st practice session before the ODI series against England in Barbados. The 39 year old has played a total of 284 matches for Windies and he is the second highest run-getter after Brian Lara with over 9700 runs.

 He has 23 centuries to his name along with this he holds the record for highest score of 215 which he scored against Zimbabwe in 2015 World Cup in Australia. Also, the universe boss has 165 wickets to his name at an economy of 4.77 & has a 5-wicket hall too. 

 Chris Gayle is set to feature for Windies in the ODI series against England, in the upcoming IPL and in a Tri-nation ODI Tournament in Ireland in May before the World Cup. If all goes well then he might also end up as the most capped player and highest run-getter for Windies as he is only 16 matches & around 600 runs away from reaching the goal.
