1. Yashodhara Raje Scindia, BJP
Yashodhara Raje Scindia was born in London. She made her entry into politics in the year 1998. She became a member of the political party Bhartiya Janata Party. Daughter of Maratha Maharaja of Gwalior, Jivajirao Scindia and Late Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia of Gwalior,
she married in 1977 to a cardiologist and moved to New Orleans, USA. In the year 1994, she came back to India and entered into BJP in 1998 after contesting the Madhya Pradesh State Assembly Election.
She is currently the Minister of Skill Development and Employment and Sports and Youth Welfare, Technical Education of Madhya Pradesh. She has also served as Minister for Commerce, Industries and Employment in Government of MP.
2. Shivraj Singh Chouhan, BJP
Shivraj Singh Chouhan belongs to BJP and is currently the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh. Elected to the same position 3 times in the past he is often referred to as Mama (maternal uncle) by people. Before making his entry into politics, he served as Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) volunteer. In 1972, at the age of 13, Shivaraj joined RSS and was the youngest volunteer who went to prison during the Emergency in 1975. Currently serves as National Vice-President, member of the Parliamentary Board and Central Election Committee of the Bharatiya Janata Party.
Shivraj is also popular for his women empowerment schemes. Janani Suraksha evam, Gaon ki Beti Yojana, Usha Kiran Yojana, Tejaswini, Janani Prasav Yojana, Swagatam Laxmi Yojana, etc. are some of the major schemes of his tenure as CM.
3. Kamalnath, INC
Kamal Nath was born on 18 November 1946 and is an Indian politician from Madhya Pradesh. He served as the 18th Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh. He resigned from his post after 15 months due to a political crisis. He was succeeded by Shivraj Chauhan. He is also the leader of the Opposition in the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly since March 2020.
As a leader of the Indian National Congress, he has served as the Minister of Urban Development, Minister of Road Transport and Highways, and Ministry of parliamentary affairs. He is one of the most senior and longest-serving members of the Lok Sabha.
4. Jyotiraditya Scindia, BJP
Jyotiraditya Madhavrao Scindia was born on 1 January 1971. Having roots in the House of Scindia that once ruled in Gwalior, Jyotiraditya is an Indian Politician from Madhya Pradesh. He is a Member of Parliament in the Rajya Sabha representing Madhya Pradesh. He is also a former Member of Parliament in the Lok Sabha in Madhya Pradesh representing the Guna constituency. Formerly a member of the Indian National Congress (INC), Scindia joined Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in 2020. Scindia also served as Minister of State with independent charge for Power in 2012 when in INC.
5. Vishwas Sarang, BJP
Vishvas Sarang is an Indian politician from Madhya Pradesh who was born on 29 December 1971. He is associated with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He is a member of the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly from Narela constituency. At the age of 37, he appeared as the youth face of Bhopal. His constant fights to rise to power has rewarded his position in the party. He also belongs to the Kayastha Hindu community. Sarang also served as the minister of state for
Panchayat and Rural Development and Bhopal Gas Tragedy Relief and Rehabilitation in Madhya Pradesh under CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan. Vishwas Sarang is also famous for his dressing style and is compared to the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi.
6. Umashankar Gupta, BJP
Umashankar Gupta is an Indian politician from Madhya Pradesh. He was born on 24 June 1952 at Sagar, Madhya Pradesh. He served as Member of Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly in the constituency Bhopal Dakshin- Paschim. He also served as Minister of Revenue and Science & Technology in the BJP and acts as a social worker and a businessman.
7. Umang Singhar, INC
The 46-year-old Umang Singhar was born on 23 January 1974 in Dhar, Madhya Pradesh. Umang Singhar is an Indian politician from the Indian National Congress. He is also the ex-forest minister of the Madhya Pradesh Government. Representing Gandhwani, he is a member of the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly. Umang Singhar is also known as a Big Aadiwasi leader in the State. He has first assumed office in the 2008 general election.
8. Sumitra Mahajan, BJP
Sumita Sathe was born in a Vaishya family to Usha and Purushottam Sathe in Chiplun, Maharashtra, India on 12 April 1943. She is an Indian politician and belongs to Bharatiya Janata Party. Before retiring from electoral politics in 2019, she represented the Indore constituency of Madhya Pradesh. Sathe married Jayant Mahajan from Indore and started to be known from the name Sumitra Mahajan. She received her LLB and MA from Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (Indore). She served as a Union Minister of State, Government of India. She was the senior-most woman Members of Parliament in the 16th Lok Sabha. Sumitra Mahajan also served as Deputy Mayor, Municipal Corporation, Indore, and also the 2nd woman after Meira Kumar to be elected as the Speaker of the Lok Sabha.
9. Smt Archana Chitnis
Archana Chitnis was born on 20 April 1964 is a woman politician from Bharatiya Janata Party in Madhya Pradesh. She represents Burhanpur Member of legislative Assembly, MP. In 2008, Chitnis was elected as Member of the 13th Vidhan Sabha. She served as Minister of Technical Education and Training, School Education and Higher Education. In 2013 she was elected as MLA for the third time. Archana Chintis is an active speaker and also served as Minister of Women and Child Development, Madhya Pradesh in 2016.
10. Rajendra Shukla, BJP
Rajendra Shukla is an Indian Politician and was born on 3 August 1964. He belongs to Bharatiya Janata Party. He is a Member of the Legislative Assembly representing the Rewa constituency of Madhya Pradesh. In 2003, he was MLA from BJP. He became Cabinet Minister Madhya Pradesh State Government in 2008 after winning the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly Election from Rewa Constituency and also served as Minister of Commerce, Industry, and Employment in Government of Madhya Pradesh in 2013.
