Tokyo Olympics 2020: PV Sindhu out of ‘Gold’ race, now will fight for ‘Bronze’

Tokyo Olympics 2020: On July 31, at the Tokyo Olympics, a semi-final match was played between shuttler PV Sindhu and Tai Tzu-Ying of Chinese Taipei in women’s singles, in which Ying won by 21-18, 21-12.  With this, Sindhu has been out of the gold race. Now Sindhu will play for bronze against China’s He Bing Jiao on August 1. On the same day, Ying will face Chen Yufei in the final match.

On the other side, women discus thrower Kamalpreet Kaur entered the final at the Tokyo Olympics today. She achieved an automatic qualifying mark of 64m in the Group B qualification round, while Seema Punia was left out, despite her best efforts in the Qualification Group A to finish sixth with 60.57m.
