Massive Participation and Global Reach

The response to PPC 2025 has been unprecedented, with over five crore registrations from students, parents, and teachers across India and abroad. A total of 36 students from each state and union territory have been selected to interact directly with PM Modi, making this an inclusive and engaging event.

When and Where to Watch

The event will be telecast in eight episodes, which will allow maximum participation and engagement. Viewers can watch the event on February 10 at 11 AM on television and digital media.

The Prime Minister also stated that he will distribute over 20,000 crores to more than 10 crore beneficiary farmer families. A financial reward of 6,000 per year is offered to beneficiary farmer families under the PM-KISAN scheme, payable in three equal four-monthly instalments of 2,000.

The funds are deposited immediately to the beneficiaries bank accounts. According to the PMO, a total of 1.6 lakh crore has been transferred under the scheme so far. The Prime Minister released the ninth instalment of the PM-KISAN plan in August of this year, thereby transferring 19,500 crores to over 9.75 lakh farmers.

During the event, PM Modi will also allocate an equity grant of over 14 crores to 351 farmer producer organisations (FPOs), benefiting over 1.24 lakh farmers, according to the PMO.

PM-KISAN is a scheme for farming families. According to the scheme’s guidelines, The yearly payment is sent directly into the bank account of one family member. The government would take back the money if both husband and wife are found to be taking advantage of the arrangement. Those who use their farms for purposes other than farming are ineligible for the scheme’s benefits. People who work on someone else’s farm and aren’t the landowners are also ineligible.

He also said that “IIT Kanpur has given you a massive canvas”. Now there is no fear of the Unknown, now we are moving ahead with the courage to explore the whole world. There is no longer Query of the unknown, now Quest for the best, dream of capturing the whole world.  The learning has happened in your classroom, or as much as you got to learn in your class, the more you have experienced outside your classroom, among your peers. Your ideas expanded in the classroom. Your personality has expanded outside the classroom.

What you earned at IIT Kanpur, your ideas that got enriched will become a strong foundation, force, with which you will do something new, do something unique, do some value addition wherever you go. Your today’s training, your skill, your knowledge, will definitely help you a lot to make a strong place in the practical world.

Speaking at the convocation at @IITKanpur

The Prime Minister also told the students about the train they have received, knowledge and skills they have obtained.  This will definitely help them in getting their place in the world.

Then he lauded the history of Kanpur and its diversity. “Kanpur is one of the few cities in India that is so diverse – from Satti Chaura Ghat to Madari Pasi, from Nana Saheb to Batukeshwar Dutt while travelling the city, it seems as if we are travelling to that glorious past, of the glory of the sacrifices of the freedom struggle,” said PM Modi.

“The Dandi March in 1930 had given a direction to the freedom movement. The youth who were 20–25-year-old then experienced their golden phase in 1947. You are stepping into a similar golden era of your lives,” he added.

Just before his address, the Prime Minister inaugurated a blockchain-driven system to deliver educational degrees. This is a massive leap in the field of technology, he said, adding that the 21st century is completely technology dive.

“Even in this decade, technology is going to increase its dominance in different fields. Life without technology would now be incomplete in a way. This is the age of competition of life and technology and I am sure you will definitely get ahead in this,” said PM Modi.

 He also appealed to the students to be impatient to create an Aatmanirbhar Bharat (self-reliant India).

The event was attended by chief minister Yogi Aditya Nath, Utter Pradesh governor and other leaders. After a year, the institute held a physical convocation as it was held online last year due to covid-19.

While addressing the nation, he mentioned about Group Captain Varun’s Letter, who died few days back in the helicopter crash in Tamil Nadu.  In that accident, country lost its first CDS, General Bipin Rawat and his wife along with many brave hearts. Group Captain Varun Singh was given Shaurya Chakra in August just this year. After this honor, he had written a letter to the principal of his school. 

In the letter by Varun Singh to his school principal, he did not boast of his valour; instead he referred to his failures. He talked about how he converted his shortcomings into abilities. He has written – “ It is ok to be mediocre. Not everyone will excel at school and not everyone will be able to score in the 90s. If you do, it is an amazing achievement and must be applauded. However, if you don’t, do not think that you are meant to be mediocre. You may be mediocre in school but it is by no means a measure of things to come in life. Find your calling – it could be art, music, graphic design, literature, etc. Whatever you work towards, be dedicated, do your best. Never go to bed, thinking, I could have put-in more efforts.

A special mantra Group Captain Varun has given to rise from average to extraordinary is equally important. He has written –“Never lose hope. Never think that you cannot be good at what you want to be. It will not come easy, it will take sacrifice of time and comfort. I was mediocre, and today, I have reached difficult milestones in my career. Do not think that 12^th board marks decide what you are capable of achieving in life. Believe in yourself and work towards it.”

After this PM Modi Stated in his Mann ki Baat that “I discuss such similar topics with students on exams,”.  This year, I intend to talk with the students before the exams as well. The registration for the programme will begin two days later, on December 28th, on mygov.in. Registration will take place between December 28 and January 20.”

Due to the COVID-19 epidemic, the event was held in April last year in virtual mode. On February 16, 2018, the first edition of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Pariksha Pe Charcha 1.0, with school and college students, was conducted at the Talkatora Stadium.

During the virtual event, first of all, he congratulated all the teachers who have received the national award and launched Indian Sign Language Dictionary (audio and text embedded sign language video for the hearing impaired, in conformity with Universal Design of Learning), Talking Books (audiobooks for the visually impaired), School Quality Assurance and Assessment Framework of CBSE, NISHTHA teachers’ training programme for NIPUN Bharat and Vidyanjali portal (for facilitating education volunteers/ donors/ CSR contributors for school development).

The  Prime Minister praised students, teachers, and the entire academic community for rising up to the challenge of pandemic and asked them to take forward the capabilities developed to deal with that difficult time. “If we are in the midst of a transformation period, fortunately, we also have modern and futuristic new National Education Policy”, he said.

He also launched, ‘Vidyanjali 2.0’ as a platform for the country’s resolve of ‘Sabka Prayas’ with ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas’. The Prime Minister said that everyone, in whichever sphere of life, has a role in shaping the future of the youth. He expressed happiness that athletes have accepted his request that every player visit at least 75 schools during Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. He added that National Digital Architecture i.e. N-DEAR is likely to play a major role in eradicating inequality in education and its modernization.

He said education should not only be inclusive but also be equitable. “Talking books and audiobooks are part of the education system now. A dictionary for Indian Sign language has been formed. For the first time in the country, Indian Sign language is being included as a subject in curriculum,” the PM said.

During the event, PM Modi will launch multiple key initiatives in the education sector. This year theme of Shikshak Parv 2021 will be “Quality and Sustainable Schools – Learning from Schools in India.” On the second day of Shikshak Parv, discussions will be held on the theme “Technology in Education – NDEAR” and “Digital Literacy for Youth and Adults”.

On September 9, there will be sessions on the theme Foundational Literacy and Numeracy: A Pre-requisite to Learning and ECCE and Culture of Innovation in our Schools. Union Education Minister and Union Ministers of State for Education will also be present during the event.

On June 21, 2021, the world is celebrating the seventh International Yoga Day. The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi talked of Yoga’s role during the pandemic. He said Yoga has proved a source of strength and poise for people during this difficult time. He pointed out that it was easy for countries to forget Yoga Day during the pandemic as it is not intrinsic to their culture but, instead, enthusiasm for Yoga has increased globally.

He also launches the M-Yoga app in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO), India. This application will have many videos of yoga training based on Common Yoga Protocol available in different languages ​​of the world. This will help us in making the ‘One World, One Health’ motto successful, he said.

1.A- Adaptability

 We need to think of such a business and lifestyle that we can adapt to. So that in times of crisis, our businesses, offices, and commerce could get moving faster. Telemedicine and digital payment are prime examples of adaptability. Shop owners should invest in digital tools to keep commerce connected, especially in times of crisis.

2. E- Efficiency

Efficiency is not about how much time you spend in the office. We should think of models where efficiency and productivity matter more than the effort. Perhaps, this is the time to think about what we refer to as being efficient. 

3. I- Inclusivity

COVID-19 has made us realize the need to work on low-cost health solutions. We can see that when human activity is slow, the mother nature flourish quickly. It is important to follow such practices that reduce our impact on the planet. We should invest in innovations to make sure our farmers have access to machinery and market no matter what the situation is, our citizens can have access to essential goods. India can develop business models that give priority to caring for the poor, as well as our planet.

3. O- Opportunity

Instead of playing catch up, we need to think of opportunities COVID-19 has brought for us. Let us think about how our skill sets and our core capabilities can be used in evaluating the new opportunities areas that would emerge now.

4. U- Universalism

There are many moments in history, where countries face off against each other, but today we are together facing a common challenge. COVID-19 does not see religion, color, caste, race, religion, language or border of any country before striking. The future will be about togetherness and resilience. India’s next big ideas should have the ability to drive a positive change not merely for India but the entire humankind.
