1. The Great Wall of China

Known as one of the seven wonders of the world, the great wall in China is the longest wall in the World and the best place to visit in China. It can easily accommodate nearly 5 horses or more than 10 men crossing each other at the same time. It crosses through major cities such as Beijing, Hebei, Tientsin, and many more cities. There is a famous Chinese proverb which states that no man in the world can be a true hero until he has crossed the Great Wall or Changcheng (as known in Chinese). 

2. The Forbidden City and the Imperial Palace

China can be stated as the country making all the records from a wall to even a building. The Forbidden City or Imperial Palace, as it is known now, is the largest building in China which was built in the span of 14 years from 1406 to 1420.  It also includes the holy Temple of Heaven which is still considered one of the holiest places in China.

3. The Terracotta Army

Most of the discoveries are made accidentally as was this archaeological marvel. It was unbelievable for the discoverers to see a massive army of 8,000 soldiers and more than 500 horses and chariots made up of terracotta. It was nearly 450 years before the birth of Lord Jesus Christ that this historical event took place. 4. The Summer Palace

One of the most visited places in China, The Summer Palace is located just 15 kilometers from the capital city of Beijing. It is a huge place and is very much famous among the tourists for late-night parties and musical programmes. It is also known as the New Summer Palace as the Old one was destroyed as late as in 1800 but still due to the enormous beauty of the ruins only the Old Summer Palace is also one of the best places to visit in China.

5. Cruising the Li River

Located in the town of Gullin, the Li River is one of the best and the most suitable place for cruising and boating. It is one of the most visited places in China. The view of passing under the caves and cruising beside the deep hill formations make the boat ride more enjoyable. This is the Longest River in China and the third-longest in the World.  The Yangtze River has a length of more than 6,000 meters and is still China’s one of the most important navigation routes. The Gorges namely Qutang, Wu, and Xiling have a rugged terrain that‘s what makes the place the most visited place in China.

8. The Classical Gardens of Suzhou

Known as one of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, this place is one of the most important historic places comprising of more than 270 gardens. Located in the famous Suzhou city, these gardens were established in the 11th Century are one of the best places to visit in China. Created during the Ming Dynasty, the Garden of Lingering is a well – known and well-developed area and the most beautiful garden in this set of gardens.

9. The Northern Imperial Tomb

Located in the old city of Shenyang, the Imperial Tomb is a religious as well as a well – cultured place. It is also included in the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites. This tomb is marked for the burials of the emperors of the Ming and the Xing Dynasty. It also served as the home of the ruler’s family and is one of the famous places to visit in China.

10. Leshan Giant Buddha

The 71 meters Leshan Giant Buddha is one of the holiest places in China as you feel the blessings of this colossal statue when you stand on the feet of this tall Buddha. The construction initiative was taken by one of the Buddhist monks and was completed nearly after a century. But when the construction was completed then the fruit of the hard work came. 12. Zhangjiajie Forest Park
