The Ola Foundation, the philanthropic arm of ride-hailing service provider Ola, has announced the availability of free and easy oxygen concentrators on the Ola app in collaboration with GiveIndia.

Bhavish Aggarwal, the chairman, and CEO of Ola Group announced on Twitter that the service will begin this week in Bengaluru with 500 oxygen concentrators and will be expanded across the country with up to 10,000 oxygen concentrators.

The concentrators can be demanded via the Ola app, according to Aggarwal. The company will deliver it to the patient’s doorstep after it has been validated and will pick it up once he or she no longer requires it. As Ola says, the concentrators and transportation will be free. “

Over the past few weeks, India has been ravaged by the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic. The oxygen shortage for the vital Covid-19 patients has added salt to the wound as a result of the massive increase in infection rate. In areas such as Delhi-NCR, Maharashtra, and Uttar Pradesh, there has been a serious shortage of oxygen and beds for critical patients.
