Ukraine- Russia War: Early Friday, After Russian soldiers attacked the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, triggering a fire, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky sent a statement to European leaders.

“Now is the time for Europe to wake up,” Zelensky remarked. “The world’s largest nuclear power plant is on fire. Russian tanks are currently pounding nuclear power plants. These are the tanks with thermal vision, which allows them to see where they’re shelling. They’d planned for it.”

According to Zelensky, the world is aware of what occurred in the aftermath of the Chernobyl nuclear disaster, as well as the pain of victims. He went on to say, “It was a global calamity.” “Hundreds of thousands of people took to the streets to protest the repercussions. Hundreds of thousands of people were forced to flee their homes. Russia wants to do it all over again, but six times harder.”

No one knows how the fire in Zaporizhzhia will finish, Zelensky stated, before warning that if it continues, the city will be destroyed “An explosion will occur, signalling the end of all of us, the end of Europe, and the evacuation of Europe. Only rapid European action will be able to stop Russian forces and avoid Europe’s death from a nuclear power plant disaster.”

Zelensky urged European citizens to take action “Get up. Inform your elected officials that Russian military are shelling the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant in Enerhodar. There are six different types of energy units. Chernobyl had one unit that exploded. We remind everyone that no country has ever shelled nuclear power plants. The terrorist state commits nuclear terrorism for the first time in human history.”
