Netflix starts restricting Account and Password Sharing in India

According to a statement from Netflix, the company will begin imposing limitations on account and password sharing for its Indian users on July 20. Users in India who have Netflix accounts for several houses will initially get an email with instructions on how to use the accounts.
Netflix Password Sharing in India
In accordance with the Netflix sharing update, Netflix will begin emailing users who are using the same Netflix account outside of a single household to remind them that a single account is intended to be used only by one family.
According to the official statement, A Netflix account is for use by one household. Everyone living in that household can use Netflix wherever they are — at home, on the go, on holiday — and take advantage of new features like Transfer Profile and Manage Access and Devices.
One Netflix account is used by several houses and users in India, which may assist spread the cost of the subscription among a group that may not all live in the same home, such as a group of friends or family.
Early in 2023, the streaming service took similar action in its home market of the United States before extending the prohibitions to more than 100 nations in May.
