NATA 2022: Registration for NATA 2022 exam begins on the official website www.nata.in

NATA- National Aptitude Test in Architecture organized by COA- Council of Architecture will be held thrice for the year 2022.

Council of Architecture announced that the first and second test of National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA 2022) shall be held on June 12 and July 3, 2022 respectively. And, the third time, NATA 2022 will be held on July 24, 2022. In case a candidate appears for 2 Tests, best of the 2 scores shall be the valid score and in the case of 3 attempts, valid score shall be average of the 2 best scores.

The registration process for NATA 2022 exam for the tests has begun from April 8, 2022.

The COA will close the application process for the first test on May 23 and for the second and third test, the online registration process will close on June 20 and July 11, 2022 respectively. Interested candidates can apply for NATA 2022 exam on the official website www.nata.in

About NATA Exam

The National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) measures the aptitude of the candidate for specific field of study, i.e. Architecture. The test measures drawing and observation skills, sense of proportion, aesthetic sensitivity and critical thinking ability that have been acquired over a long period of time, and that are related to specific field of study, i.e. Architecture.

NATA 2022 Exam pattern

The NATA aptitude test will comprise of questions that could be of the Multiple-Choice type (MCQ), Multiple Select type (MSQ), Preferential Choice type (PCQ) and Numerical Answer type (NAQ). The questions will carry either 1 mark, 2 marks or 3 marks and 125 questions have to be answered in 200 minutes. The medium of Aptitude test will be the English language.

Physics and geometry

 Language and interpretation,

Elements and principles of design

Aesthetic sensitivity

Colour theory

Lateral thinking and logical reasoning

Visual perception and cognition

Graphics and imagery

Building Information anatomy and architectural vocabulary

Basic techniques of building construction and knowledge of material

General knowledge and current affairs

Eligibility for NATA 2022

Candidates who have completed their 10 + 2 examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or 10+ 3 Diploma with Mathematics as subject of study can appear for NATA 2022. Candidates appearing for 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as subjects of study or 10+3 Diploma with Mathematics in the current year may also provisionally appear for NATA-2022.
