Mobile World Congress 2020 is cancelled due to coronavirus outbreak

Due to the outbreak of coronavirus many tech companies had cancelled their presence from the upcoming event MWC Barcelona 2020. Companies like Amazon, Nokia, Facebook, Nvidia, Vivo, Sony etc said that their employee’s safety is their first prior that’s why these companies withdrawn from MWC Barcelona 2020.

Coronavirus has now become a series issue in all over the globe. World Health Organization has also declared a global emergency due to the coronavirus outbreak. Till now there are nearly 60,000 cases that have been reported of coronavirus worldwide. The deaths troll to 1,369 and recovered numbers are 6,032. China alone has 59,000 cases and second number Japan has seen a rise in the coronavirus cases which is equal to 247 even the USA has 14 cases of this virus till now.

Meanwhile, GSMA, the company that hosts MWC, has issued a big statement. GSMA has cancelled this event. GSMA has stated that the MWC Barcelona 2020 has been cancelled due to the security and atmosphere in Barcelona. Because travel is very worrying due to Coronavirus, it is impossible for the company to organize this event. GSMA and Barcelona will continue to support each other for the next year i.e. MWC Barcelona 2021 and Futures Editions. At the moment, our sympathies are with those battling the virus in China and around the world.
