Jharkhand is a state constituting many beautiful places that can be visited by tourists. Earlier the state was a part of Bihar. After its establishment in the year 2000, Jharkhand focused on promoting tourism and look after the culture and heritage of the state to be a travel destination. The cities of Jharkhand attract tourists from all around the world.

The cities that provide major tourists attractions in Jharkhand are:

Ranchi 

Ranchi is the state capital of Jharkhand. The city is enriched with beautiful waterfalls, temples, hills, parks, dams, and many other places. The city is the fourth largest city in India in terms of area. Ranchi is also one of the hundred cities that are selected to be in the smart city mission. 

Tourist spots in Ranchi are: Bhagwan Birsa Biological Park, Dassam Falls,

Hazaribagh is another major tourist city in Jharkhand. The place is known for Hazaribagh Wildlife Sanctuary. It is located at the elevation 610m. The lakes and greenery make this place interesting for tourists’.

 Some of the major attractions of Hazaribagh are Hazaribagh Jheel, Hazaribagh Wildlife Sanctuary, Sanskriti Museum and Art Gallery, Canary Hill, Saheed Nirmal Mahto Park, Nirmal Mahto Park, Silwar Hill.
