The Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival 2023 is scheduled from October 27 to November 5. The maiden co-produced film “The Buckingham Murders” by Actress Kareena Kapoor will be the opening film at Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival on October 27.

The Buckingham Murders is directed by Hansal Mehta produced by Ekta R Kapoor, and co-produced by Kareena Kapoor. The movie had its world premiere at the BFI London Film Festival 2023.

The Buckingham Murders makers released its first official poster to mark its international premiere in India on Oct 27. The Emmy Award-winning HBO drama, Mare of Easttown inspired this film.

In the Buckingham Murder, Kareena Kapoor’s role is inspired by Kate Winslet’s character in the miniseries Mare of Easttown.

The film is in English and Hindi, with 80% of the dialogue in English. It had predominantly British supporting actors, including Keith Allen.
