Finn Allen and Mitchell Marsh opened for the Perth Scorchers. Finn Allen starts smashing bowlers from the start. They reached 55 runs in the powerplay without losing a wicket. But after the powerplay, Mitchell Marsh fell on a poor delivery angling down the leg. Finn Allen was smashing bowlers whenever and wherever he wanted. Cooper Connolly also starts dominating Sutherland’s over, but Sutherland had the last laugh.
Aaron Hardie also played a cameo of 22 runs off 11 balls. Captain Turner hit a six and four and got caught by Seifert. Finn Allen also got out after scoring a century. Perth Scorchers reached 219 runs. Melbourne Renegades, chasing 220, had a terrible start. Melbourne lost 1 wicket and only 1 run in the first over. Jack Fraser-McGurik struck 3 sixes, Jhye Richardson. Jack was scoring runs from one end. But this show ends soon on Luke Holt’s ball.
Rizwan got out on the first ball after the powerplay. Cooper Connolly took his revenge on Sutherland. Tim Seifert kept the hopes alive for Melbourne until the 16th over. Aaron Hardie took Seifert’s wicket. Seifert scored 66 runs. No other batter was able to play an impactful innings. Cooper Connolly and Mahli Beardman each took 2-2 wickets.
