The superstar Amitabh Bachchan remembered his mother Teji Bachchan in a special manner on Mother’s Day. On Sunday night, he shared a video on social media, in which he expressed his feelings about the mother through the song ‘Meri Roti Ki Golai Maa’. The video was composed by mixing old photographs of the Bachchan family in which superstar Mr. Bacchan can be seen.

This song is sung by Amitabh himself. It is written by Puneet Sharma and composed by Anuj Garg. Its visuals have been taken from Amitabh Bachchan’s personal collection and Binani Cement’s 2013 advertisement ‘Parental Love’. Its original version was directed by Shoojit Sarkar and his team, the same has been done by Recreate EF Bushra.

Amitabh Bachchan’s mother’s name Teji Bachchan’s real name was Tejwant Kaur. She was born on 12 August 1914 in the then city of Lyallpur in Punjab (now in Pakistan). She was a social worker and psychology professor. Till before marriage, she taught at the Khabchand Degree College in Lahore. She was married to Harivansh Rai Bachchan in 1941. They have two sons, Amitabh and Ajitabh. She died on 21 December 2007 at the age of 93.
