In India, Harley-Davidson unveiled the new Harley Davidson Sportster S 2021, which costs Rs. 15.51 lakh (ex-showroom). The new Harley-Davidson Sportster S motorcycle has already been released in global markets, is the two-wheeler manufacturer’s second significant launch in India this year.
The Harley-Davidson Sportster S is available in three colours: Vivid Black, Midnight Crimson, and Stone Wash White Pearl. The bookings for the motorcycle has been started and the deliveries are expected by the end of this month.
The Harley-Davidson Sportster S bike’s most notable feature is its 1250cc liquid-cooled V-twin engine. The engine produces 119.3bbhp and 127.4Nm of peak torque. A 6-speed gearbox and a slipper clutch are also included with the engine.
Harley-Davidson has put a lot of effort into making the new motorcycle lighter. The use of lightweight materials allowed the engine’s specific power to be set to the required value. The Sportster S weighs just 228 kg with a full 11.8-litre tank.
With its high-mount exhaust pipes, LED headlamps upfront, and large 5-spoke cast aluminium 17-inch front and 16-inch rear wheels with Brembo radial monoblock four-piston callipers, the Harley-Davidson Sportster S looks pretty intimidating.
A 4.0-inch TFT screen is included with the Sportster S bike. The smartphone can be connected via Bluetooth, and navigation convenience can be taken advantage of. All-LED lighting, cruise control, and a tyre pressure monitoring system are included. Road, Sports, Rain, and Custom are the four riding modes available on the bike. Corning Enhanced Anti-Lock Braking System (C-ABS) installed, which takes into account the motorcycle’s lean angle.
