What is BSc?

When it comes to choosing a graduation course after 12, BSc is the most  common option selected by students.  It is an undergraduate course offered by almost all universities in india. It’s a 3 year course. It offers both theoretical and practical knowledge about different subject areas . These subject areas include different subjects related to the field of science like Physics, Chemistry, agriculture, biochemistry etc. Students with a strong base in maths and science can go for it but if you belong to another particular field and are interested in this course you can still do this. The course is also beneficial for students who wish to pursue multi and interdisciplinary science careers in future.

There are two type of Bsc Courses:-

1). BSc Honors: It is designed to develop advanced theoretical, practical, research skills among students. It’s majorly focused on one selected subject area.

2). Bsc general course: BSc General course is designed to provide foundation knowledge of Science subject to students. It usually focuses on all major subjects of Science. 

Eligibility:-

To secure admission in BSc courses students must pass Class XII from a recognised board in Science stream. Also, students must secure a minimum percentage according to the cut-off designated by the respective college/ university.

Eligibility criterias might differ from college to college.

The admission procedure for both Bsc and BSc honors courses can be merit based or entrance based depending upon college to college. In Case of no entrance exam admission is done on the basis of merit list.

1.UPSC

There are 27 posts offered by the Union public service Commission. 

2.SSC-CGL

Here you can secure a post in a central government organization like CBI, Income tax department.

3.SSC-CHSL

Lower division clerk, Data entry operator, postal/sorting Assistant and court clerk.

4.IBPS-PO

Probationary officers post in all the banks except SBI, for SBI you have to write a separate exam SBI-PO.

7.Indian Railways

If you have marks above 60% in graduation then you can secure a post like manager and accountant and  if marks is above 55% then options are like T.T.E, T.C, Junior clerk, Gangman.

If you are good at statistics and math then you can go for Indian statistical examination conducted by UPSC . Jobs in this sector are highly paid.
