UGC NET Exam is a national level exam conducted by NTA (National Testing Agency) to determine the eligibility of the candidate for Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship in Indian universities and colleges. National Testing Agency conducts the NET exam twice in a year, in the month of June and December

UGC NET Exam consists of two papers, Paper 1 and Paper 2. Paper 1 consists of 50 questions that are designed to test the knowledge of environmental science, computer, reasoning ability, reading comprehension, and general awareness of the candidate whereas, Paper 2 contains 100 questions that are based on the subject selected by the candidate. UGC NET Exam is conducted for Journalism and Mass Communication and 80 other different subjects such as Economics, Political Science, Philosophy, Psychology, Sociology, History, etc. 

What is Journalism and Mass Communication?

Journalism and Mass Communication is the study of exchanging information through various media to a large group of people at the same time. Mass Communication course can be done after clearing the 12th class or a Bachelor’s Degree in any field if want to go for post-graduate degree in mass communication.

Arrange the Study Material – Before start preparing, arrange all the study material required for the study. You can buy books online as well as offline. You can also take the help of online tutors or can refer to UGC NET books that are written by different authors. 

Prepare notes – While studying for UGC NET exam, underline all the essential points with colored pens, or make a separate notebook to note down all the important points to save your time when need to revise. 

Solve previous year question papers – After studying the whole syllabus, solve old year question papers to evaluate your preparation for the exam. It is the best method to know your weak area and paper pattern. 

More and more revision – After solving previous year question papers, the next step is revision.  After knowing your weak area, start revising notes that you have prepared. After that, review the preparation by solving ten year’s question papers or mock test papers.
