Happy Mother’s Day: Celebrate the Day by Watching 5 Short Movies on Mother Love

Mothers have both visible and invisible presence in our lives and to honor and celebrate them, every year a day is dedicated just for them i.e Mother’s Day. Mother’s Day is observed on the second Sunday of May every year in India. This year on May 10 Mother’s Day will be celebrated.

Mother’s Day History

The modern Mother’s Day began in the early 20th century in the United States started by Anna Jarvis when she held memorial of her mother at St Andre’s Methodist Church in Grafton, West Virginia. It was Anna Jarvis who started a campaign to recognize Mother’s Day as a holiday in the United States but her request to observe Mother’s Day as a national holiday was denied.

In different countries the Mother Day is celebrated on different dates:

  • In the UK the day is celebrated on the fourth Sunday of March in memory of Mother Church on Christian Mothering Sunday.
  • In Greece, it is celebrated on February 2. While in Thailand, Mother’s Day is always celebrated in August on the birthday of the Queen Sirikit.

A child of every age loves his mother but due to hectic office schedules or school timings, sometimes they forget to pay gratitude towards their mother. But thanks to coronavirus this year, it will be the first time when the whole family will celebrate mother’s day together. Though there is a lockdown in major parts of the nation, you can make your mother feel special just by spending time with her and can watch the movies that are dedicated purely to mother’s love.

3. Mother’s love

An emotional film made on Mother’s day which tells how today’s generation has time to talk to their friends or use social media, but they have no time to talk to their mothers. They are connected with technology so much that they forget their relationship with mother.

When children are young, they are unable to live without the mother even for a minute, but as they grow, taking care of the mother becomes a task for them. The same story is about ‘MaaNhiBolti’ a mother is living away from her son, but still, she is worried about her son.

So on this Mother’s Day, express love and respect to your mother and every other mother who is serving the nation leaving behind her children and family in this pandemic condition.
