Battleground Mobile India made an official release on Android, Download from Google Play store

Today, on July 2, Battlegrounds Mobile India is officially launched in the country. Battlegrounds Mobile India, which was launched as the Indian counterpart of PUBG Mobile after the game was banned in September 2020, has been available in beta version until now, but the official version is now available for download from Google Play store. The game’s developer, Krafton, rewarded users with in-game rewards after the game reached 10 million downloads.

Battlegrounds Mobile India has finally debuted in the country, over a month after developer Krafton made the formal announcement. The game is free to download from the Google Play store, and there is no word on an iOS release at this time. Those who did not pre-register for the game can just download the entire game from the Google Play store. Players who pre-registered will simply need to download a small update from the store to update it.

The update option may not be available via the Google Play store app to some users, so go to the store from your desktop browser and look for the ‘Install’ option (make sure you’re using the same Google account). This will update the game by downloading the appropriate files, while some in-game material, such as texture packs and maps, may need to be partially re-downloaded.

Battlegrounds Mobile India was launched in the first week of May and was live for Android users two weeks later. On June 17, it went into open beta, which was quickly transformed into early access. It has been playable since then, but an iOS version has yet to be released.
