Airbnb an online rental company said that they will spend next year in verifying all its 7 million listings. The purpose of verification is to check that the homes and rooms which are being on offered on its app are all meet with a basic requirement or not.

The San Francisco based company is making its app more users trustable by verifying its homes which makes easy for the guest, hosts to search home and if in case of any problem reported then the company will refund the amount.

This decision was made after a shooting incident in Halloween party in an Airbnb rental in Orinda, California, left five people dead. An e-mail was sent to employees on Wednesday, Airbnb Co-Founder and CEO Brian Chesky said the company will take its most significant steps to improve trust since its founding in 2008.

“People need to feel like they can trust our community and that they can trust Airbnb when something goes wrong,” Chesky wrote.
