Vivo India launched Vivo Y36 in India on Thursday, June 20. The new Vivo Y series phone has a 2.5D curved glass body and is available in two colour options. The Snapdragon 680 SoC and 8GB of RAM power the Vivo Y36.

The Vivo Y36 is priced at Rs. 16,999 for its 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model. The phone is available for purchase via Vivo India’s E-store, Flipkart, and all partner retail stores.

Funtouch OS 13 based on Android 13 runs on the dual-SIM (Nano) Vivo Y36. It has a 6.64-inch full-HD+ (1,080×2,388) LCD screen with a refresh rate of 90Hz and a touch sampling rate of 240Hz. The selfie camera is located in the middle of the display in a notch. The phone’s octa-core 6nm Snapdragon 680 SoC powers the device. It has 8GB of RAM and 8GB of extended RAM.

The new Vivo smartphone comes with a dual rear camera setup that includes a 50-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel bokeh shooter for photos and videos. At the front, it offers a 16-megapixel selfie camera having f/2.0 aperture.

It has 128GB of built-in storage that can be increased by a microSD card (up to 1TB) using a specific slot. The Vivo Y36 offers Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5, GPS/A-GPS, and a USB Type-C port for connectivity. The inbuilt sensors include a gyroscope, e-compass, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, and accelerometer. The Vivo Y36 also has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

Vivo Y36 is powered by a 5,000mAh battery that supports 44W rapid charging. The claimed in-house quick charging technology can charge the battery from empty to 30% in just 15 minutes.
