Vicky Kaushal’s upcoming movie, The Great Indian Family trailer is finally out. On Tuesday, Yash Raj Films shared the trailer of the movie written and directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya. The Great Indian Family is released on September 22

The Great Indian Family’s trailer starts with a narration from Bhajan Kumar, also known as Ved Vyas Tripathi (played by Vicky Kaushal), a devotional singer. He is the “undisputed king of bhajans” in Balrampur, as he calls himself.

The audience is then introduced to Bhajan Kumar’s extremely conservative family. Bhajan Kumar has Manushi Chhillar as his love interest. Later, Vicky reads out a letter that changed Bhajan Kumar’s life. According to the letter, Bhajan Kumar was a Muslim who was born to a Pandit family.

The family of Bhajan Kumar decides to cut ties with him. In an effort to regain the love and acceptance of his now-distanced family, he searches for his true identity.

The Great Indian Family also stars Manoj Pahwa, Kumud Mishra, Yashpal Sharma, Alka Amin, Shrishti Dixit, Bhuvan Arora, and Bharti Perwani in key roles.
