Tecno Mobile has officially introduced its new midrange flagship, the Tecno Pova Slim 5G, to the Indian market.

The Pova Slim 5G is only 5.95 mm thick and is one of the thinnest curved 5G phones in the market today. Tecno is marketing the phone as a new benchmark design without sacrificing features.

Its front is characterised by a 6.78-inch 1.5K 3D curved AMOLED screen with a 144 Hz refresh rate, 240 Hz touch sampling, and 4,500 nits peak brightness. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i for added durability.

The phone comes equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 6400 chipset (6 nm), alongside 8 GB LPDDR4x RAM and 128 GB UFS 2.2 storage (with support for virtual RAM in some).

For optics, the Pova Slim 5G features a dual rear camera module — a 50 MP primary sensor aided by a 2 MP secondary lens — and a 13 MP front shooter for selfies and video calls. It also supports 2K video recording from both rear and front cameras.

Tecno has found room to pack in a big 5,160 mAh battery with support for 45W wired fast charging.  The battery claims to retain over 80% capacity even after 2,000 cycles, reflecting the company’s focus on longevity.

On the software front, the phone comes with HiOS 15 based on Android 15. The company also pre-installs its Ella AI assistant, supporting Indian regional languages and a range of AI features like AI Call Assistant, AI Writing, AI Image Editing, Privacy Blurring, and Circle to Search

.In terms of connectivity, the phone is compatible with 5G (SA/NSA), 5G+ carrier aggregation, 4×4 MIMO, dual SIM dual active (DSDA), Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, 4G LTE, and USB Type-C.

It features a one-of-a-kind feature called “No Network Communication”, facilitating peer-to-peer voice and text communication between Tecno phones through Bluetooth or local wireless, even without network coverage.

Price & Availability of Tecno Pova

The Pova Slim 5G has been priced at ₹19,999 for the 8 GB / 128 GB model. The phone will be available for purchase from September 8, 2025, mainly through Flipkart and authorized offline channels nationwide in India . It will be available in Cool Black, Sky Blue, and Slim White colors.
