Swachh Bharat Mission-Urban 2.0 AMRUT 2.0: Cleanliness is not for a day, for a fortnight, one year, or only for a few people.

Swachh Bharat Mission-Urban 2.0 AMRUT 2.0: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday launched the Swachh Bharat Mission-Urban 2.0 and AMRUT 2.0. During this, PM Modi praised public participation in the cleanliness campaign. According to PM Modi, Cleanliness is a campaign meant for everyone, for every day, every year, generation after generation. Cleanliness is a lifestyle, cleanliness is a life mantra.

Prime Minister launched the Swachh Bharat Mission-Urban 2.0 AMRUT 2.0 at Dr. Ambedkar International Center in Delhi on Friday. The objective of these campaigns is to make all cities garbage-free and give importance to water conservation. The program was attended by Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Hardeep Singh Puri as well as Urban Development Ministers of the States and Union Territories.

On the occasion, PM Modi said, in 2014, the countrymen had taken a pledge to make India open defecation free. The countrymen fulfilled this pledge with the construction of more than 10 crore toilets. Now the goal of ‘Swachh Bharat Mission-Urban 2.0’ is to make a Garbage-Free City, a city completely free of garbage.

In the next phase of Mission AMRUT (Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation 2.0), the country aims to increase sewage and septic management, and ensure that no sewage drains anywhere in the rivers. The journey of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and AMRUT Mission so far is really going to make every countryman proud. It also has mission, respect, dignity, the ambition of a country, and love for the motherland.

Babasaheb believed that urban development is a great means of removing inequality. Many people from villages come to cities in the aspiration of a better life and employment but their standard of living remains in harsh condition as was in villages.

Babasaheb emphasized changing this situation, on removing this inequality. The next phase of Swachh Bharat Mission and Mission Amrut is an important step towards fulfilling the dreams of Babasaheb.

Our Safai Mitras, our brothers, and sisters are the great heroes of this campaign, who clean the roads with brooms, clean the garbage while tolerating the smell of garbage. The country has closely watched its contribution in the difficult times of Corona.
