Registration opens for IAF AFCAT 2021, Exam in February 2021

IAF (Indian Air Force) invites online applications from Indian citizens (Men and Women) to be part of this elite force as Group A Gazetted Officers in Flying and Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) branches. The online registration for the AFCAT- AIR FORCE COMMON ADMISSION TEST has started from December 1 on the official website https://careerindianairforce.cdac.in  or https://afcat.cdac.in till December 30, 2020. Online AFCAT examination will be conducted on 20 Feb 21 and 21 Feb 21.

While filling in the online application, the applicant must ensure that he/ she meets all the eligibility conditions. Few eligibility conditions are :

 A candidate must be a citizen of India as per Indian citizenship act, 1955.

Age Conditions:  (i) Flying Branch through AFCAT and NCC Special Entry: 20 to 24 years as of 01 January 2022 i.e. born between 02 January 1998 to 01 January 2002 (both dates inclusive). The upper age limit for candidates holding valid and current Commercial Pilot License issued by DGCA (India) is relaxable up to 26 years i.e. born between 02 January 1996 to 01 January 2002 (both dates inclusive).

(ii) Ground Duty (Technical & Non-Technical) Branch: 20 to 26 years as of 01 January 2022 i.e. born between 02 January 1996 to 01 January 2002 (both dates inclusive).

(iii) Marital Status: Candidates below 25 years of age must be unmarried at the time of commencement of the course. Widows/ Widowers and divorcees (with or without encumbrances) below 25 years of age are also not eligible.

The AFCAT syllabus includes questions from General Awareness, Verbal Ability in English, Numerical Ability and Reasoning, and Military Aptitude. It will be a 2 hours test consisting of 100 questions. For Candidates with one of the choices as (Technical) Branch, questions from Mechanical, Computer Science and Electrical & Electronics will also be there.
