Department of School Education & Literacy, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India started a scholarship for economically weak students from class IX to XII. The scholarship is awarded to those who want to study at secondary level but don’t have enough money to continue the study. The scholarship is applicable for students studying in State Government/Government-aided/Local body schools and have secured a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade in class 8 exam. The family income should not be more than INR 1.50 Lac per annum. A amount of INR 6000 is awarded as scholarship per Annum is provided. The students will be selected on the basis of the selection test conducted by namely, Mental Ability Test (MAT) Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT). Applications are invited for this program and registration are going on till 25^th September.
