Proclaimed Actor Irrfan Khan passes away at 53: A Big Loss to Bollywood

Actor Irfan Khan who was admitted to Mumbai’s Kokilaben Hospital has passed away at an age of 53. He was suffering from colon infection. In 2018, he was diagnosed with the neuroendocrine tumor for which he was taking treatment in London and returned to Mumbai some months ago. Irfan Khan left wife Sutapa and two sons in the family.
Filmmaker Shoojit sircar, one of his close friends tweeted and gave the information of his death “My dear friend Irfaan. You fought and fought and fought. I will always be proud of you.. we shall meet again.. condolences to Sutapa and Babil.. you too fought, Sutapa you gave everything possible in this fight. Peace and Om Shanti. Irfaan Khan salute,” he wrote.
Irrfan khan was a versatile and proclaimed actor not in India but across the globe. He gave many hit films that include Academy Award-nominated Salaam Bombay!, Maqbool, Paan Singh Tomar, The Lunchbox, Haider, Gunday, Piku, Talvar and Hindi Medium. Recently, he has seen in Angrezi Medium with Kareena Kapoor and Radhika Madan. His performance in movies Namesake, Slumdog Millionaire, The Life of Pi is memorable.
