PM Modi got his first dose of Covaxin coronavirus vaccine in the second phase of the vaccination campaign

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has got the first dose of the Coronavirus vaccine today. The second phase of the Coronavirus vaccination campaign has started from today and to get his first dose of vaccine, PM Modi arrived at AIIMS in the morning.

 In a tweet shared by PM Modi after vaccination, he mentioned “Took my first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine at AIIMS. Remarkable how our doctors and scientists have worked in quick time to strengthen the global fight against COVID-19. I appeal to all those who are eligible to take the vaccine. Together, let us make India COVID-19 free!

Starting today, the second phase of vaccination in which people over 60 years of age are getting vaccinated. Prime Minister Modi is 70 years old and is now eligible to be vaccinated. Until earlier, health workers and frontline works were vaccinated. When the vaccination campaign started in India last month, opposition parties questioned why the PM himself is not getting the vaccine. Modi waited for his turn and then got vaccinated. PM Modi has given the shot of Covaxin made by Bharat Biotech.

The first round of the biggest vaccination drive in the world was started in India, on January 16.
