Hyderabad is popular as the city of Nizams, in ancient days there was the rule of Seven Nizams in Hyderabad. 1. Charminar
Charminar is aa Urdu word which means four turrets, Charminar is the most prominent landmark of Hyderabad. Charminar is also famous with the name ‘Mosque of the four minarets’. It’s one of the most historical monuments in Hyderabad which shows beautiful architect of ancient days, the monument was build by Sultan Mohammed Quli Qutb Shah in the year 1951 with the help of an Iranian architect Mir Momin Astrawadi. There is a Laad Bazaar to the west of the of Charminar. Many festivals such as Eid-ul-Adha and Eid al-Fitr are celebrated here. It’s a must-visit place especially at the time of the festival.
2. Golconda Fort
Golconda Fort which is also known as Golkonda is once the capital city of Qutb Shahi, located in Hyderabad. The fort is very famous for its Diamond mine. Due to this Diamond mine, the state is known as the trade centre of Diamonds known as Gulkonda Diamond. Many of the great rulers fought to achieve the Fort. It was believed that many precious Diamonds like Koh-i-Noor and Hope Diamond were found in the mine. The mine is famous for its great diversity of Diamonds, many colourless and colourful Diamonds which now costs in billions were found in that Golconda Diamond mine. 3. Ramoji Film City
Ramoji Film City is one of the biggest film studios and also awarded with Guinness World Record. The Film City was spread over the area of 1666 acres. Ramoji Film City was built by a famous Telugu producer Ramoji Rao in Hyderabad during 1996. The place is very famous for its tourism sector, people from all over the world visit there, to get an overlook of Indian Cinematography. Ramoji Film City has been a great attraction due to an Amusement Park which is included inside the Film City. Ramoji Film City consists of a central kitchen which is for various shooting units. 4. Hussain Sagar Lake
Hussain Sagar Lake is one of the biggest lake of Hyderabad spread over the area of 5.7 square kilometres. It is a heart-shaped lake built by Ibrahim Quli Qutb Shah in 1563. Hussain Sagar Lake has been one of the most attracted places for tourists. The lake separates the city Hyderabad from the neighbourhood Secunderabad. The lake has the largest monolithic statue of Gautam Buddha, which were established in 1992 is placed in the middle of the lake. 5. Birla Mandir
Birla Mandir is a Hindu religious temple established by Birla Group all over India. All the temples which were established by Birla Group are named as Birla Mandir. Birla Mandir in Hyderabad is made over a hillock in 13 acres of area. The Mandir probably be the largest among all other Birla Mandir in India. Birla Mandir is one of the religious places to worship Lord Venkateswara, which was constructed by Ramkrishna Mission. Jalavihar is a water park situated in Hyderabad, Telangana which is spread over the area of 12.5 acres. The water park is one of the biggest water parks in India. It is located beside the Hussain Lake and along the Sanjeevani park. The water park was inaugurated in May 2007. The water park is provided with many adventures rides. 7. Chowmahalla Palace
Hyderabad is the place of Nizams and Chowmahalla Palace is a palace of Nizams, the palace was established by Nizam Salabat Jung. The palace is located near the Charminar and is spread across 45 acres of area. The palace is divided into two courtyards southern and northern, southern courtyard consists of four more palaces named as Afzal Mahal, Tahniyat Mahal, Mahtab Mahal, and Aftab Mahal, in which Aftab Mahal is the biggest of all four. 8. Lumbini Park
Lumbini Park is one of the most famous tourist spots in Hyderabad, it is located near the Hussain Sagar Lake. The park was built by the Hyderabad Urban Development Authority in 1994, the park was named after the birthplace of Lord Buddha. 9. Qutub Shahi Tombs
The tombs were built by Qutub Shahis, there is a total of seven tombs which consist of tombs of seven Qutub Shahi rulers. The Tombs are located near the Banjara Darwaza of Golconda Fort it’s just 850 m away. Qutub Shahi Tombs are one of the oldest monuments in Hyderabad, which is the heritage of Qutub Shahis. The architect of the monument was built with the combination of Persian and Indian architectural styles, whose beauty attract the tourists. 10. Birla Planetarium
Birla Planetarium is one of the most modern planetariums in India, it was inaugurated in 1985 by late NT Rama Rao. The planetarium is located at Naubat Pahad, Hyderabad. The planetarium is divided into four sections Interactive science centre, Window on Science, Archaeology Center and the Nirmala Birla Art Gallery and Dinosaurium, all these sections are interesting and attracts the crowd. 11. Nehru Zoological Park
Nehru Zoological Park was opened to the public in 1963, the park covers a wide range of 380 acres. The Zoo has 1,500 species of birds, animals and reptiles and is one of the largest zoos in India, the government of Andra Pradesh looks after the Park. The park has many interesting things to offer, you can enjoy the variety of safaris, which takes you in the world of different wild animals and make you experience a few adventurous moments. 12. Salar Jung Museum
One of the biggest one-man collections of the world, Salar Jung Museum is located at the bank of Musi River. The museum was opened to the public in 1951, the museum has a huge collection of 43000 art objects, 9000 manuscripts and 47000 printed books. There are many things to see in the museum it has 38 galleries divided into two floors. The galleries consist of portraits of the royal family, Indian sculptures, Indian textiles, ivory objects, arms and armours, Indian miniature paintings, modern paintings and many more things. 13. Purani Haveli
A yet another place which is a palace, no no a museum, nope a school. Well, it’s all three of them. The Purani Haveli near Dewan Devadi, in Hyderabad, is one of those tourist attractions which can not be taken in contempt. Purani Haveli means ‘old palace’ and there is a great history behind this name.The palace has a museum located in it which showcases the gifts received by the last Nizam and is currently being used as a school. So don’t get confused. The Palace portrays the beautiful picture of the courtyards of the 18th century.

22. Taj Falaknuma Palace
It is a palace located in Hyderabad which covers an area of 32 acres. This palace is made completely with Italian marbles and stained glass windows and is just 5 kilometres away from Charminar. It was built by Nawab Sir Viqar-ul-Umra and belonged to the Paigag family and was later owned by the Nizam of Hyderabad. It fell into disuse after the 1950s and in the year 2000, it was restored by Taj group of Hotels which took 10 years to complete and was reopened in the year 2010.
