The trailer of Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi’s most awaited film ‘Merry Christmas’ has arrived. It has been directed by Sriram Raghavan, who also directed Badlapur and Andhadhun. From the trailer, it seems to be a crime romance story. ‘Merry Christmas’ will be released on January 12, 2024.

This 140-second trailer starts with two mixer grinders. Medicines are being grounded in one mixer, while peanut chutney is being made in the other. Then things related to Christmas like Bicycle bells ringing, carnivals, toys, and churches are shown.

Slowly the trailer moves forward and then a voice comes from behind, “Ever since this world was created, we all have been searching for the same moment. When that moment comes, then it is understood that the life that has been going on for hundreds of years was just for this moment.

Later in the trailer, a simple and beautiful date of Katrina and Vijay on Christmas Eve is shown. At the end of the date, Katrina says, “It’s about to be 12 o’clock. “Celebrate Christmas together?”

Both are enjoying their date in the apartment but after some time Vijay asks to leave. Gradually the story progresses and then the crime story unfolds.

‘Merry Christmas’ is being produced by Ramesh Taurani-Jaya Taurani, Sanjay Routray, and Kewal Garg of Tips Films. Apart from Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi, the film stars Tinu Raj Anand, Vinay Pathak, Sanjay Kapoor, Pratima Kannan. The Tamil version of Merry Christmas stars Radhika Sarathkumar, Kavin Jai Babu, Shanmugaraja, and Rajesh Williams.
