Big update for cricket fans! The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 is suspended due to increasing tensions at the border. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI)  after having a detailed discussion with the Indian government, has understood that this is not the right time to carry on with the tournament.

The main concern right now is safety — not just for the players, but also for everyone involved in the matches. The BCCI wants to make sure no one’s security is compromised.

This decision started gaining attention after the match between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals was called off mid-way during the first innings in Dharamsala. This unusual situation raised many questions about whether the rest of the tournament could go ahead smoothly or not.

A BCCI member said “We are not sure about the future. Things are very unclear at the moment. So we have to wait and watch.”
