Haryana Agricultural University (HAU) got the rank among the top three agricultural universities in the country

Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University located in Hisar (CCSHAU) has achieved another milestone of getting ranked in the top three state agricultural universities in the country. In the rankings released for 2019 by the ICAR (Indian Council of Agricultural Research) and Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India.

The ICAR (Indian Council of Agricultural Research) rankings were announced on Saturday by the Union Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Narender Singh Tomar at the concluding ceremony of Vice-chancellor of state Agricultural universities. All the state agricultural universities in the country had applied for this ranking through an online medium, the result of which was released on Saturday at the Indian council of Ranking research, Delhi.

Various criteria are set for the ranking issued by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi. Various central Agricultural universities, state agricultural universities, and deemed universities/ICAR institutes were included in this ranking. These included 64 state agricultural universities, 3 central Agricultural universities, and 4 deemed universities/ICAR institutions. Apart from teaching, research, and extension education, separate award scores were set to provide this ranking. Of these, thirty marks were given for teaching, research, and extension education while ten marks were fixed for the award.
