The National Medical Commission (NMC) has started the online registration of the FMGE December 2023 on October 16, 2023. Interested candidates will be able to apply at the official website — nbe.edu.in.  The last date to apply online for the FMGE (Foreign Medical Graduate Exam) 2023 December session is October 25 (till 6 p.m.)

FMGE December 2023: How to apply

Step 1: Visit the official NBE website — nbe.edu.in

Step 2: Fill out the user registration form to generate the User ID/Application ID and password

Step 3: Complete the application form and upload a photograph, scanned signature, and other documents.

Step 4: Choose the test city and pay the examination fee

Step 5: Take a printout of the filled application form with the transaction ID.

In the official announcement, NMC said that “Requirement of eligibility certificate may be confirmed by referring to the public notice dated 11.12.2018 and 05.04.2019 from NMC website.

The Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) also known as the Screening Test for Foreign Medical Graduates has been introduced through Screening Test Regulations, 2002. The medical commission conducts FMGE twice yearly for Indian and overseas applicants to get a provisional or permanent registration from the Medical Council of India (MCI) or State Medical Council (SMC) to practice or study medicine in India

Candidates who are citizens of India or Overseas Citizens of India and possess a primary medical qualification, which is confirmed by the Indian Embassy concerned, to be a recognized qualification for enrolment as a medical practitioner in the country in which the institution awarding the said qualification is situated, can apply for FMGE provided that the result of final examination for the said primary medical qualification has been declared on or before the prescribed cut-off date for a particular session of FMG Examination.
