EDUCATION MINISTRY LAUNCHED STUDY IN INDIA PORTAL: NATION IS LOOKING FORWARD TO WELCOME THE INTERNATIONAL TALENT

The Indian government Launched the much anticipated “Study In India” (SII) Portal on 3rd of August 2023 in New Delhi, to attract the international students in Indian Institutes.
Union Education and Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Minister, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan along with Union External Affairs Minister, Dr. S. Jaishankar together launched the “Study In India” portal with an aim to promote India as a preferred global education destination.
The event was graced by esteemed personalities like Smt. Annpurna Devi (Minister of State for Education), Dr. Subhash Shankar (Minister of State for Education), Shri Rajkumar Singh (Minister of State for Education and External Affairs), Dr. Mahesh Sharma (Member of Parliament) and senior officials of Ministry of Education and Skill Development and Ambassadors of 10+ countries.
Students from foreign countries like Japan, Russia, Ecuador, Thailand, Ethiopia, Kazakhstan and the Republic of Korea who are currently pursuing their studies in India presented souvenirs from their culture as a gesture of thanks to the dignitaries.
Study In India portal is a website that will provide complete information related to Indian Higher Education (HEIs). The website will display different types of academic programmes like for undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG) and doctoral level programmes. It will also provide knowledge courses present in Indian Knowledge System like Ayurveda, Yoga Classical Arts ect. All the Information regarding academic facilities, research support and related information will also be provided to ease the educational journey of the International Students.
The impressive thing about study in Portal is that students can apply for more than one Institute and course of their own choice. This platform will make the student’s journey, from the beginning of registration process to the ending of visa approval more smooth.
According to Shri Pradhan’s official statement, “Study In India Portal is going to be an pivotal step, in fulfilling India’s Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi’s vision of making education transcend geo political boundaries.”
Dr. S. Jaishankar also addressed the gathering at the launch, according to him, “The launch of this portal is aimed at making India a hub of global education by welcoming students from diverse backgrounds. The presence of International students in India will also help the domestic students to get a global exposure which will prepare them better for the global workplace. Domestic students will be able to better understand the different cultures, traditions and even thinking. When these students go back to their society they will reflect India’s potential.”
