On Tuesday, Amazon.com, Inc. to help customers to buy their prescribed medications easily, announced two new pharmacy offerings. Amazon Pharmacy, a new store on Amazon is introduced to allow customers to complete an entire pharmacy transaction either on desktop or mobile device through the Amazon App. Prime members receive unlimited, free two-day delivery on orders from Amazon Pharmacy included with their membership and up to 80% savings when paying without insurance, with new prescription savings benefit.

Customers have to set up a profile on Amazon’s website and have doctors send prescriptions to the e-commerce giant. Amazon Pharmacy will provide branded and generic versions, and different forms or dosages. Customers can compare their insurance co-pay, or the available savings with the new Prime prescription savings benefit to choose their lowest price option before checking out. Amazon Pharmacy also gives access to fully digital, Personalized Quality Care where Customers have any time online help options combined with phone access to customer care. 24/7 Friendly and knowledgeable pharmacists are also available.
