Actor Deep Sidhu, major Accused In Republic Day Violence, Dies in a road Accident

Actor Deep Sidhu who was involved in the Republic Day violence case in January last year has died in a road accident. He was out on bail. The accident happened on the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) Expressway that bypasses Delhi. Actor Deep Sidhu was in a white Mahindra Scorpio that get smashed on the rear of a trailer truck. He died on the spot.
Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi tweeted his condolences on the actor deep sidhu’s death. “Deeply saddened to learn about the unfortunate demise of renowned actor and social activist, Deep Sidhu. My thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved family and fans,”
Mr Sidhu was arrested by the Delhi Police in February last year in connection with a farmers’ tractor rally on Republic Day that turned violent after demonstrators marched to the Red Fort and assaulted police officers. Mr Deep Sidhu was accused of being a prominent figure in the Red Fort incident.
Farmers were opposing three new farm laws that were repealed by the government in November 2021.
He was released on bail in April, but was detained again shortly after. In late April, he was released on bail for the second time.
