Ekta Bhyan won a Silver Medal at the World Para Athletics Championships in the Club Throw (F51) category on October 5, 2025, in Delhi. This marks her third consecutive medal in three years — she won Bronze in 2023, Gold in 2024, and now Silver in 2025.

Born in Hisar, Haryana, in 2003, Ekta met with a road accident that damaged her spinal cord. She went through multiple surgeries and worked extremely hard to make her way into sports.

She completed her graduation from Hisar, and in 2011, she cleared the Haryana Civil Services Examination. She is currently working as an employment officer.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi posted on X:

“Congratulations to Ekta Bhyan for securing the Bronze Medal in the Women’s Para Club Throw – F32/51 event. India is delighted by this achievement!”
